India – Pakistan cricket match series to raise funds for Covid-19!

India and Pakistan are two nations which adore cricket to the peak and a match between these two countries is a treat to all the cricket fans. Pakistan’s famous pace bowler Sohaib Akhtar mentioned that the two nations should conduct a charity cricket match series to raise funds for Covid-19 control.

Sohaib mentioned that its a ‘Watch in TV’ only series and no audience will be present in the stadium. Funds will be raised through the telecast rights in the respective countries and they will be donated to the respective Governments, is Sohaib’s thought.

There has been a mixed debate on this topic in the social media. Few people felt that the money would help the Governments in battling the Covid-19 while few people mentioned that there will be risk for the players and the results of the match too may create rifts in the two countries.

We have to see if the cricket boards of the two nations takes a positive step.
