In-Talk: YS Jagan implementing ESMA rule in AP!

Considering the tough situation in Andhra Pradesh and raising Covid-19 positive cases, YS Jagan decided to implement ESMA (Essential Services Maintenance Act) rule in AP. As per this rule, Healthcare workers, Police and Maintenance departments should work without fail, else the Government will have the power to punish the individuals.

With the raising of Covid-19 cases and the revolts from people in few regions, few Healthcare workers and Police officials were applying for leaves or absconding the duties. To battle the power crunches in the coming days and to ensure uninterrupted water, waste management services, Andhra Pradesh Government came up with this action item.

ESMA rule will be in place for 6 months and will give full authority to the Government to even control private Healthcare services. As the situation is turning severe, this sort of a rule will be helpful for the Government in maintaining all the necessary services to the public.
