As of now, Indians have to carry prescriptions and other details while visiting doctor but with this card everything will be available at one shot. 500 Crores has been allocated for this project.
The details of the medical history of the patient along with the doctor and hospital details will be available in this card. Hospitals and the people will have the right to take a decision on using the card. There are several advantages for people as well as for the hospitals due to this card.
Doctors can start the treatment immediately knowing the past of the patient and can confidently take decisions. Medical errors are high in India and this card gives the information of the treatment that was done wrong in the past which resulted in the current condition.
