Coronavirus virus is rising in Telangana and there is no clue when it will wane off. Over the past two days, more than a hundred new cases have been reported. Most of the corona cases in the state are in Hyderabad.
A rapid covid-19 survey will be conducted by ICMR on Saturday under the patronage of National Nutrition Organization (NIN) in association with Telangana government in Hyderabad. NIN teams will begin surveilance for 2 days in five containment zones in Hyderabad. The survey will be conducted in Adibhatla, Balapur, Miyapur, Chandanagar and Tappa Chabutra containment zones in the city. Preparations for the survey have already been completed by 10 special teams at 2 per zone.
Door to door survey against corona cases, their condition and symptoms will be conducted in these five containment zones. Afterwards, the ICMR will prepare a full report on the prevalence and increasing number of cases and diminishing cases in Hyderabad. The report is then submitted to the Central Medical Health Department. The survey has already been initiated in the Janagama, Kamareddy and Nalgonda districts of Telangana and collected 1200 samples a couple of days ago. While the center is on the look out for the extension of the lockdown in particular zones as per the ICMR reports.
