ICC Awards: India and Australia dominate the decade

Runs, Wickets, Centuries, Hauls, Ducks, World Cups, Bilaterals, Leagues, Qualifiers, Rivalries and what not. This decade has produced some stellar performances in World Cricket from many greats of the game. The amazing talent was found and a lot of intent and maturity was shown on the field.

Most importantly, the Test Cricket sprung back to life. Celebrating the glorious decade in the history of the World Cricket, the ICC, (International Cricket Council) announced awards to players and the teams with XI players from all countries who are considered as the best in respective formats of the game in this decade.

ICC ODI Team of the Decade (Men’s) :

Rohit Sharma, David Warner, Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Shakib Al-Hasan, MS Dhoni (c, wk), Ben Stokes, Mitchell Starc, Trent Boult, Imran Tahir and Lasith Malinga

ICC ODI team of the decade Women’s :

Alyssa Healy, Suzie Bates, Mithali Raj, Meg Lanning (c), Stafanie Taylor, Sarah Taylor (wk), Ellyse Perry, Dane Van Niekerk, Marizanne Kapp, Jhulan Goswami, Anisa Mohammed

ICC Men’s Test Team of the Decade :

Alastair Cook, David Warner, Kane Williamson, Virat Kohli (C), Steve Smith, Kumara Sangakkara (WK), Ben Stokes, Ravichandran Ashwin, Dale Steyn, Stuart Broad , James Anderson

MS Dhoni is the captain of ICC ODI & T20 team of the decade while Virat is announced as Captain for ICC Test team of the decade

ICC Men’s Associate Player of the decade is Kyle Coetzer. (Scotland)

ICC Women’s associate player of the decade is Kathryn Bryce. (Scotland)

Virat Kohli is the only player to be featured in all three formats of the Best XI of the Decade.

India dominates the show as 9 Indian players have been featured in the three formats and 6 Aussie players found themselves in the list followed by 4 England players.
