We can hardly notice a man without a smartphone in his hand during these days especially in urban areas. Even 50% of the rural people have smartphones with minimum features. After this lockdown, the prices of every essential product will surge and smartphones will be in the front line in that list.
In this lockdown period, most of the smartphones were broken due to the mishandling by the children and there are no mobile repairing shops available. Overall the wholesale retailers are suffering 30% loss and they are more likely to increase the prices of smartphones in the upcoming days.
Due to Corona effect, the Chinese products are not yet available and the increase in the GST on the smartphones will burn the pockets of the customers for sure. Already top brands like iPhone and Samsung listed their top models with higher prices. iPhone 11 was increased by Rs.1,300 and iPhone pro max price will be Rs.6,100 higher than the original.
From April 1st, Samsung M-21 price will be increased and Samsung Galaxy S20 will be available with Rs.5,090 greater than the normal price. Other companies like Vivo, Oppo, MI and Realme are also looking to surge the prices to compensate their losses. So, if you are planning to buy a smartphone post lockdown, wisely choose your model.
