The IMD reported that the maximum temperature will be 2ºC to 3ºC above normal for this time of the year, alerting both the Telugu states to exercise proper precautions during the day time, when the heatwave is at its peak.
As per the predictions of the AP government’s Real Time Governance Society (RTGS), the temperature in Vijayawada could touch the 46ºC mark on Sunday. Even the districts like Krishna, Guntur, Prakasham, Nellore, East and West Godavari districts are expected to witness high temperatures in the coming days.
