Even after scoring a considerable success with Rudramadevi, director Gunasekhar was not much heard again. But finally, he is now back to announce another huge project.
The maverick director has released a note on the social media, that reads, “would like to share that I’m working on a mythological film “Hiranyakashipa”, starring Rana Daggubati in the titular role. Extensive pre-production work is being done for the past 3 years for this one..that’s right 3 YEARS! That’s how invigorating this has been. More details & updates to follow soon.”
Gunasekhar was once known for the blockbusters like Choodalani Vundi, Okkadu etc. But he later lost his form with the debacles like Sainikudu, Varudu and so on. While Rudramadevi could act as a savior of his film career, the latest Hiranyakashipa is expected to bring back his lost glory.
As Rana is one of the leading stars and he is also proven to play the mythological roles in the films like Baahubali, Hiranyakashipa has now garnered good buzz among the film circles. So, it should be seen whether the film lives up to the expectations or not.
