Ghantasala Ratnakumar passes away due to heart attack

Ghantasala Ratnakumar, son of legendary singer late Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao’s passed away due to cardiac arrest. He was the younger son of a legendary music director.

As per reports, Ratnakumar was suffering from Kidney related issues and was on dialysis for the last few months. He was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai and breathed his last while undergoing treatment on Thursday, June 10.

According to media reports, he has tested negative for COVID-19 a couple of days ago. Ratnakumar was well known for dubbing films and serials in Telugu, where he dubbed movies from Tamil.

In his career as a dubbing artist, Ratnakumar dubbed over 1000 films. He also enrolled on the India Book of Records for dubbing eight hours non-stop. He gave his voice to more than 15000 episodes in Telugu and Tamil serials and over 50 documentaries.
