Gabbarsingh surpasses the records of Pokiri on twitter

Southern superstar Mahesh Babu’s’ film “Pokiri” has finished 14 years from its release. Lately in an act of commemoration, his fans had celebrated the moment in an unprecedented manner by using the hashtag #14YearsForSouthIndiaIHPokiri on Twitter. Pokiri”, which had released on April 28, 2006, is supposed to be the first film that crossed Rs 50 crore share in the south film industry. And also in twitter with #14YearsForSouthIndiaIHPokiri trend it reached 8.47M tweets in 24hours and Pokiri acquires all time top anniversary trend in TFI.

Nonetheless, many hardcore fans of power star Pawan Kalyan seem to have taken it as a challenge and many have tweeted yesterday with the hashtag #8YearsforGabbarsinghHysteria in a deliberate attempt to break the 14 years for Pokiri hashtag record and by today morning within 17 hrs 16 mins, it surpassed 8.47 M hashtag count of Pokiri to become the first ever Twitter hashtag to reach 9 million count and its counting..

Many ardent fans of Pawan Kalyan too celebrated with due respect and heart felt admiration and set their display picture with the film’s poster by honouring it. Now the Gabbarsingh posters with 8 year hashtag is taking the internet by storm.

Fans went gaga and created hysteria making them proud about the achievement. Based on Salman Khan starrer `Dabangg’, Gabbar Singh was remade starring Pawan Kalyan and released on May 11th 2012. Fans went on to laud director Harish Shankar, as he was the one who brought a massive success to Pawan Kalyan after consecutive flops. `Gabbar Singh’ rewrote box offie records when it was released, which stars glam doll Shruthi Hassan in the lead role.

There are other film hashtags competing in a cut throat completion akin to the existing hashtag trend, which include #DecadeForClassicDarling—-4M count, #2yearsforBharatAneNenu,—2.75M #3yrsforMightyBaahubali2—1.53M count and one more hashtag #DecadeForMemorableAarya2—1.2M. It seems that this hashtag trend is going to soar high among fans of their respective heroes and become the talk of the town in the near future.

No one expected that hashtag trend created by fans on twitter would spread rampantly. Earlier it was regarding box office record collections, fans use to wage wars. Now amid lockdown there seem to be no films in theaters around the corner, which could have paved a novel outlandish way for them to celebrate via twitter hashtags. Looks like the record collection trend will eventually fade and hashtag trend will be on the rise. Let’s wait and see!
