There are many directors now in the film industry and very few heroes. Most directors are without work because they are either waiting for star heroes for dates and are not willing to do web series meanwhile and kill time or make money.
They are single minded in their goal and are willing to take risk. The mid-range directors, a few of them have been booked by the tier 2 heroes and the calendar for at least two years with them is booked.
Changes do happen in between with new projects cropping up suddenly and decided projects taking a back seat.
Ask Bobby what he will do in such a scenario after Venky Mama releases, he tells us, “Three years back VV Vinayak foresaw the situation. When he was working, the situation was different and the directors were few in numbers and they did one film after the other. But now I feel directors should something that they like big or small. We have to digest the truth, heroes decide whom to work with. Heroes will tell us to wait, we will and all that pain will disappear at the audio launch. There is pressure on directors small and big to play waiting game. No heroes available. We should wait if we want to work with a particular hero.
