Unnao Rape case that has shook the nation when it took place has finally found a conclusion after two long years. Former MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar who is identified as accused in the case has been sentenced to life term imprisonment.
Adding to it, the court also ordered the accused to pay the compensation of Rs. 25 lakh to the victim, out of which 10 lakh is the victim’s actual compensation and Rs. 15 lakh is the prosecution fee.
After Kuldeep was convicted in the rape and abduction of a minor girl in 2017, he was suspended from BJP in 2018 and the central leadership had expelled him in 2019. The latest life imprisonment has brought a great relief to not only to the victim’s family but also the nation as it has been waiting for the judgment since long.

Meanwhile, the Delhi Court directed the CBI to offer necessary protection to the victim’s family. A safe house will be provided to them in this regard.
