Sowcar Janaki celebrated her birthday yesterday on Dec 12, the late Nutan Prasad also shares his birthday with her.
It was a busy day with people calling her over the phone, she had visitors and she also paid tributes to Gollapudi Maruthi Rao with whom she worked in a few films.
“I am happy that many channels aired programmes on me, my songs in films etc. I felt loved. The most touching gesture was from my grand daughters Aditi and Sai Meghana, they posted a beautiful message for me in FB.”
Right now she is excited about her upcoming film Donga with Karthi and Jyothika. She is there throughout the film but has only one dialogue.
She plays a tea estate owner’s wife but she is a widowed. It is a key role and she will be seeing the film in Chennai. I am also doing a film with Tanikella Bharani soon. “It is a manchi vesham but kastamaina vesham.”
