EC responds to Chandrababu Naidu protest

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu staged a protest against Election Commission, for allegedly being ‘bias’ against the opposition parties.

The TDP leaders alleged that the EC is transferring the election officials and also conducting IT raids on them. Reacting to it, Naidu wrote to Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Gopal Krishna Dwivedi and sat on protest before his office.

Naidu alleged that the EC is acting according to the orders of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and are being in favor of YSRCP, adding that a conspiracy against TDP is being played by Telangana Chief Minister KCR and YSRCP Chief Jagan, by joining hands with Modi.

Naidu severely went against Modi saying that the democracy is in danger, due to PM, as he is trying to destroy even EC, along with other institutions he did in the past.

Responding to Naidu’s allegations, EC Chief Dwiwedi said that they are working according to the orders of the Election Commission of India and clarified that the ECI has not ordered to work on behalf of anyone. He termed Chandrababu Naidu’s allegations as baseless and said that they are working unbiased and with zero restrictions.

During Modi’s visit to Andhra, the TDP erected several flexies, asking the PM to go back. Irritated over this, Modi is now keen to bring down Naidu from the CM’s chair and has so joined hands with Jagan, the analysts opine. YSRCP MP Vijay Sai Reddy’s leaked audio clip, which hinted the ties between Modi and Jagan, further strengthened Naidu’s allegations.

However, YSRCP leaders came down heavily against Chandrababu Naidu for his allegations, saying that the CM is only trying to do a show-off and thus gain sympathy, hoping to turn it as a voting bank. The Jagan Mohan Reddy’s party said that no such tricks would work hereafter.
