The Telugu Desam Party took a major hit when its leader, and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, was arrested during the early hours of September 9th, with scam claims in the skill development program. Ever since then, the party seems to be lost, with the other party leaders failing to make any impact on the people.
What’s even worse is that even Chandrababu’s son Lokesh, who was until then busy with his padayatra, seems to be found nowhere after his father’s arrest, making everyone wonder why. While some party members are coming forward and making several statements and constantly opposing the YSRCP and its ways, none of that is making a lot of impact.
Having said that, with the general elections not very far away, things aren’t looking very good for the TDP. As of late, Babu’s bail petition verdict has been kept on hold by the Andhra Pradesh High Court, and there’s no clarity over when this verdict will be out. It would truly take a miracle for the TDP to be able to make an impact in AP without Nara Chandrababu Naidu. Let’s see what will happen.
