This year’s much anticipated IPL has got a bad start. From the very beginning the management of this league has been hit by some or the other problem indicating it as a bad omen. Recently, sponsors were changed, then CSK’s support staff contracted corona infection and now Suresh Raina left IPL inadvertently for personal reasons.
Although it was initially rumored that he had returned to India for personal reasons, now another news has surfaced the Internet.
A 58-year-old man called Ashok kumar speculated to be a relative of cricketer Suresh Raina died while his four of his family members succumbed to injuries allegedly in an attack by robbers, police said on Saturday.
CSK team head N Srinivasan also reacted to Raina’s departure. ‘I spoke to Dhoni about the current situation. He assured that there was no need to worry if any more players were gone. Reportedly, he interacted with all the players virtually on Zoom and insisted them to be safe.
For whatever reasons, Suresh Raina is going to have a massive loss for quitting the IPL. Srinivasan also said that with Raina’s departure, Ruthuraj, who is an outstanding batsman will get an exposure. However, he also expressed hope that Raina would return. He said in particular that Raina would lose his annual salary of Rs 11 crore.
Meanwhile, the entire CSK team will be in quarantine for a few more days. They will soon be allowed into the tournament only if they get a negative in the covid-19 tests
