Nandamuri Balakrishna had announced an amount of Rs. 55 Lakhs to a hospital in Hindupuram, and has also announced that he would be providing the necessary medical equipment to that hospital, to help battle Coronavirus. Balakrishna is doing this from his own money, and is currently touring Hindupuram as well.
Speaking to the media, Balakrishna said that Hindupuram will always be very close to his heart, and that he is ready to go to any extent for the betterment of Hindupuram. He said that Hindupuram should be made a district, and that he is ready to talk to Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy about the same, if need be.
Balakrishna also commented upon the current state of politics in the state, and said that there’s no real good being done to the people, and that only political vendettas are being satisfied at the moment. He also said that the state income is very low, and although there wasn’t a proper Capital even during the time of TDP, the state earned more revenues than Telangana, but it is sad to see the erratic state of Andhra Pradesh’s revenue right now.
Balakrishna also observed that during times like this, especially keeping in mind the havoc that Coronavirus is wreaking, all political parties should work together towards the betterment of the state. He said now is the time for unity and team spirit, considering the situation that the state is in, and that it is not the time for political games.
Balakrishna has always limited himself to being the MLA of Hindupuram, whether he lost or won in the constituency. He has also said that he has no interest in immersing himself into more politics, and that he’s satisfied with taking care of just Hindupuram. Balakrishna is mostly focused on films, but makes sure that the people of Hindupuram get everything they need.
