Besides the second wave of coronavirus, the delta plus variant is also registered in India. Delta plus variant cases have been registered in states like Maharashtra, Kerala and Madhya Pradesh. The Union govt has also issued a high alert and key directions to the respective states.
Meanwhile, a total of 40 Delta Plus variant cases have been registered in the country, official sources said. Of these, 21 cases were reported in Maharashtra, 6 cases in Madhya Pradesh, 3 cases in Kerala, 3 cases in Tamil Nadu, 2 cases in Karnataka, one each in Punjab, Andhra Pradesh and Jammu states. Experts say that cases of this Delta Plus variant are being registered in 8 other countries besides India. Against this backdrop, scientists warn people to be vigilant as the Delta Plus variant cause a serious threat to the human race.
