Corona virus took 10 forms like a dashavatar in the last five months

The virus is surprisingly so tiny that millions of virus can occupy in just one drop of water. Owing to its small size, any changes in the environment can cause changes in the virus. This is known as mutation. Changing the form here does not imply the whole form rather some parts within the virus. Even the layman have found that the corona virus is ball shaped and here won’t be huge differences effecting the shape of the ball.

The corona virus, which originated in China in December 2019 has been transformed into 10 variants so far. A2a is the most prevalent in the world. While the other forms of corona viruses drastically diminished. This scientific study was conducted by Nidhan Biswas and Partha Majumdar at National Institute of Biomedical Genomics, Bengal. The details of this will soon be published in the Indian Journal of Medical Research, which is published by ICMR.

This type of A2a virus is the most common type of human lung infection. Less than ten years ago, a similar virus, SAARS too caused illness when entered into lungs. But rather than that virus, corona is moving even more aggressively. There is also a claim that the corona virus originated from the SAARS virus.

Four months ago ‘O’ was the type of corona virus in the earlier stages. Since then, the virus has varied a bit. Most of the viruses that have changed are found now in many countries. The rest of the viruses are now almost invisible. A2a type has been predominantly spreading and was all over the world in the end of March. Scientists say it spread over the entire world in just a matter of months.

RNA of 3600 corona viruses has been collected from 55 countries. The collection took place from December 2019 to April 6. The coronavirus then went on to divide the forms into O, A2, A2a, A3, B, B1. O type has occurred first in Wuhan, China.

When transformed, some types of viruses stop spreading to more and more organisms. But few types of viruses are more virulent as they transform. Corona belongs to the latter category. The mutation in the A2a virus involves changes in the fat content of the thorny protrusions as per aforementioned details.

This causes the virus to enter into the lungs of human beings. Scientists say the virus has increased exponentially since then. It is for this reason that the A2a type corona virus is easily spread throughout the world. About 47.5% of corona infected people in India have A2a type. Now it’s in the hands of scientists who can salvage this messiest situation by discovering a right treatment or develop vaccine to combat against the virus.
