Dr Nageshwar Reddy, Chairperson, Asian Institute of Gastroenterology (AIG) Hospital, Hyderabad, said that the Roche Company’s cocktail was given to 40 corona patients and had positive results. Those who took the ‘cocktail’ were said to have had a mild covid infection. He said the medicine was given to all people within three weeks of being tested positive for coronavirus.
Within 24 hours of taking the cocktail, all forty patients reported that the symptoms of the corona, such as fever and lethargy, had disappeared. He explained that research was being conducted under the auspices of their hospital to find out the efficacy of this cocktail on the Delta variant. He said that when the RT-PCR test was performed on the patients’ everyone tested negative for coronavirus. Also, he said that the price of a cocktail in India is Rs 70,000.
