The Andhra Pradesh government’s decision to introduce reduced movie ticket prices has come as a huge shock to the Telugu film industry. Megastar Chiranjeevi had already appealed to AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, asking him to reconsider his decision on the reduced ticket prices.
While many bigwigs of Tollywood maintained silence over the issue, it was reported that director Trivikram Srinivas has hit back at the Jagan government over regulating ticket prices. AP Minister for Cinematography Perni Nani also responded to the director’s response and said that he will take this to Jagan’s notice.
Now, the production houses Sithara Entertainments and Haarika & Hassine Creations clarified that Trivikram Srinivas did not make any comment on YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and his decision.
The production houses wrote on Twitter: “Any official statements from #Trivikram garu will only come from @haarikahassine & @Fortune4Cinemas. He doesn’t have any social media presence. Please don’t believe in any comments made by various profiles bearing his pic/name.”
Meanwhile, a section of Tollywood and movie-goers are hurt by the silence of the bigwigs of the Telugu film industry.
