As the COVID-19 cases in the country are rising, Union Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri on Friday said that the airport authorities were sent directives to put passengers on the ‘no-fly’ list if they violate the protocol and guidelines to control COVID-19.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has been ordained to crack the whip in this issue.
Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri shared, “We are winning the fight against Corona. However, there are few people who are being careless and we have started putting people on the no-fly list. Air travel is much safer than surface route travels.”

He also shared deep condolences to the bereaved families and those affected due to fire outbreak in covid unit in Mumbai hospital.
India has reported a spike of 59,118 fresh corona virus cases in the past 24 hours. According to the Union Health Ministry, the country has also seen 32,987 recoveries and 257 deaths in the last 24 hours.
