The members of the Bharatiya Janata Party in West Bengal seem to be losing all of their patience, with Trinamool party’s Mamta Banerjee campaigning for the upcoming elections, despite her leg injury. Mamta Banerjee has said that she has been attacked, on the day of her nomination, resulting in her leg injury. Post that, she’s continued to campaign while being in a wheelchair.
Mamta’s leg injury is clearly visible, as a result of the visible bandages on her leg. The BJP members of Bengal, especially Bengal BJP Chief, Dilip Ghosh, has made several controversial statements on Mamta. He said that she is disrespecting the culture and traditions of Bengal by showing her legs. In a very sarcastic tone, he asked Mamta to campaign by wearing Bermuda shorts, and this statement is causing a lot of political discussion in the state.
Members of the All India Trinamool Congress, on the other hand, are criticising the BJP members heavily, and are saying that the statements made by BJP members are to be taken lightly, as they have always been that way.
They are also saying that the BJP members are making such statements because they are scared of Mamta Banerjee, and the fact that she will win. They are also saying that the BJP is one such party that does not respect women, because of which it is making such derogatory comments. Mamta Banerjee, on her part, is ripping apart the BJP at every chance she gets, during her campaigns.
