Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu strictly went against Chief Secretary LV Subrahmanyam for his earlier comments.
Criticizing Naidu for conducting the reviews on the government programmes, AP Chief Secretary recently said that Naidu is violating the election code by reviewing the government projects. He opined that, the CM has no right to conduct any such reviews, till the announcement of results of the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.
He however said that the AP government can give any suggestions in emergency situations, without violating the election code. LV Subrahmanyam said that Naidu is going to get down from the CM’s chair and Jagan will conduct the swearing ceremony after May 23rd.
Reacting to Subrahmanyam’s comments, Naidu said, “even an interim government will have few powers to rule the state. But TDP government is not in such state and is still in the government. It is not fair on the part of AP Chief Secretary to ask me to stay away from the governmental activities. If it is so, then all governments should stay away from using the power and the election commission should act as the prime authority.”
Naidu made these comments in a tele-conference conducted in which TDP leaders and other activists have participated. He expressed his confidence in winning the assembly elections and also asked the TDP officials to focus on the local elections as well.
