Central Minister Kishan Reddy clarity on increasing Assembly seats

Since there had been a strong consideration on Assembly Constituencies Reorganization, there has been a speculation on increasing the no. of seats in the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Assemblies.

On this, Deputy Home Minister of India, Kishan Reddy had given a clarification.

He had told that this reorganization of the Assembly seats will happen in both these states only when it will be taken up for the whole of the country.

He had made it very clear that it is not possible to do this process only for the two Telugu States alone. He said that Parliament laws does not permit such a thing.

These talks started when there was a speculation on increasing seats in Assembly as per the Andhra Pradesh State Bifurcation policy.

He said that the previous leaders have made a wrong policy during bifurcation and that only courts can take the final decision on this as the Central Government clearly does not think of it right now.
