Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy’s take on the deadly COVID-19 has been controversial since its outbreak in the country. He is the one who made the words – “use of paracetamol” and “application of bleaching powder” famous.
Now, Jagan commented on the COVID-19 yet again and this time, reportedly, the central government is very serious on his comments. Jagan in Amaravati said, The coronavirus cannot be eliminated and “we have to live with it” by taking adequate precautions to prevent the infection. Did he mean that we can’t achieve anything with this national wide lockdown?
“Corona could afflict some Yellaiah or Pullaiah, or even me. Its nothing but fever. It comes and goes. Take medicines when it comes and some care,” Jagan added and the center feels that these kinds of words will bring negligence among the people and the control they have due to this lockdown would go in vain if the AP people consider this COVID-19 as just another disease.
Of course, Jagan’s words are indeed confusing as in one statement he says that we can’t eliminate it and in the other, he assures that nothing will happen even after its infection. These two statements are discouraging and misleading as well.
