Considering the alarming situations in India, the Centre has taken a crucial decision to postpone CBSE class 12 exams, while cancelling the CBSE class 10 exams.
Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal on Wednesday informed that the CBSE exams for Class 12, which were to be held from May 4 to June 14, have been postponed. He said that the government will decide on them on June 1. However, students will be informed at least 15 days before the new exam dates.
When it comes to Class 10 exams, the minister said the results would be prepared based on an objective criterion to be developed by the Board. Those who are not satisfied with their marks may take the exams whenever they are held.
Because of a nationwide Covid surge, parents, students, politicians and various states demanded the centre to cancel the exams. Finally, they got relief from the Centre.
