CBI reminds ‘Jagan as A1’ – takes up DA case hearing

The clutches have been tightened around the AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy. The disproportionate assets case is not leaving him by any means as the CBI has filed 11 charge sheets against Jagan and other accused on which the hearing will be taken up by the Special CBI Court in Hyderabad on Tuesday. There are quid pro quo cases as well on YSRCP MP Vijay Sai Reddy, MLA Dharmana Prasada Rao, P Sabitha Indra Reddy, who is now the Education Minister of Telangana, and several senior IAS officers besides Jagan.

It is known that Jagan has been avoiding the attending of the hearing personally by filing a petition under Section 317 of the Criminal Procedure Code by seeking exemptions under some compelling reasons. Now, the renewed vigor after the Supreme Court persuaded the pending cases on Jagan as the former has observed that about 4,500 criminal cases have been pending on the legislators.

Now with the CBI special court taking up the DA hearing, Jagan will be under high pressure regarding the recent open letter he wrote to Chief Justice S A Bobde alleging the Supreme Court’s second most-senior judge N V Raman on alleging the AP High Court. Not to mention that he roasted a few judges as well.

Now, Jagan needs to be more alert on the DA and quid pro cases as the CBI special court is under immense pressure from the judicial system with the latest allegations of Reddy on few judges. So he may face some serious questions regarding his part in those huge scams and irregularities. The AP CM has been facing the cases from 2011 and was placed in jail for 16 months between May 2012 to September 2013.
