Case filed on Trisha and Mani Ratnam

Mani Ratnam and his ongoing film, Ponniyin Selvan are making the headlines for all the wrong reasons. A few days ago, PETA filed a police case against the makers after a horse, that was used for the film’s shooting purpose died of dehydration.

Now, the movie unit is in the firing line again and this time, for religious reasons.

Ponniyin Selvan shoot is going on at an old temple in Indore now. Incidentally, Trisha walked into the temple which had statues of Lord Shiva and Nandi with her slippers on. This snap somehow got leaked on social media.

Hindu activists have now filed a case against Trisha and the director of the film, Mani Ratnam for belittling Hindu traditions by walking around the temple with slippers.

The police are yet to lodge the case officially and further developments in this regard will determine if they actually do so.
