It is known that a Tollywood delegation met with Andhra Pradesh I&PR, and Transport minister Perni Venkataramaiah aka Perni Nani today.
Speaking in the meeting, noted Telugu producer C Kalyan made a very interesting comment.
“We release fake collections posters, saying our film collected Rs 200 crores, 500 crores, and 2000 crores just to attract the audience. We deceive the people and create a false illusion that they should watch our films at any cost. It is a publicity gimmick,” Kalyan said.
Kalyan went on to say that Jathi Rathnalu, a comedy caper that was made on a low budget but minted big bucks at the box office. “But box office wonders like these are rare to come by and the same cant be used to used to gauge the box office prospects of the entire industry,” Kalyan said.
