The counting of votes for the Parishad elections in Andhra Pradesh has been completed. The counting continued even after midnight in some ZPTC locations. Officials revealed the details of the winning parties in the MPTC and ZPTC seats at 2 pm on Sunday night.
Making a clean sweep, the ruling YSRCP captured all the 13 zilla parishads and over 90% of mandal parishads in the state. It has registered a solid victory in all the districts of the state. Polls were conducted for 515 ZPTC seats and 7,220 MPTC seats on April 8.
So far, the results have been released for 7212 MPTC seats in which TDP is limited to 826 seats. Similarly, YSRCP won 502 seats while announcing results in 512 ZPTC seats. TDP-6, Janasena-2, CCM-1, others-1 are limited to ZPTC seats.
Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy thanked the people of Andhra Pradesh for giving a landslide victory to YSRCP. Taking to Twitter, the CM said the mandate given by the voters has put a huge responsibility on him.
“By the grace of God and people’s blessings, this massive victory has become possible. This increased my responsibility towards every single person and family in this State for showering all the love and support,” he said in the tweet.
