The Tollywood box office saw two new theatrical releases yesterday and they are 2018 and Mem Famous.
Mem Famous is aggressively promoted by the team and amidst a social media campaign from Chai Bisket.
As for 2018, it barely got any promotions. Bunny Vas released the film in Telugu and it had just a press meet in Hyderabad before the release.
But interestingly enough, 2018 has started on a better note than Mem Famous at the Telugu box office. The film posted better occupancies in almost all the areas when compared to Mem Famous.
2018 ran entirely on the word of mouth and it has worked the trick for the survival thriller. The film has opened on a strong note and is expected to comfortably beat Mem Famous over the weekend despite not having familiar faces in the lead roles.
