It’s unstoppable now! Young Rebel Star Prabhas’ Saaho is breaking all possible records at the box office and is on a roller coaster ride. Saaho has now become the fastest Telugu film after Baahubali to earn $1 million in the US.
According to reports, Saaho rakes in $1.466 million at the US box office on its first day which is second fastest film to achieve this feat after Baahubali 1, which earned $2.62 million from just the premiere shows.
Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi No 150 took the second position by raking in $1.16 million from just the premieres while the third position was grabbed by Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s Kaatamarayudu, which earned $1.34 million.
However, now Saaho, with $1.46 million becomes the second fastest Telugu film. And looking at the advance bookings of the film, we can expect $2 million at the US box office by second day.
In India, Saaho has earned more than any of the Hollywood films on day 1 at the box office giving them a tough competition. Despite mixed reviews from critics and audience, Saaho seems to have taken a great start at the box office.
However, owing to the dull word-of-mouth for the film, we can forecast a sudden in the collections.
Audiences felt that the film had the great potential to make it big but was pulled down by the lackluster writing. While Prabhas fans claim that Saaho is not as bad as it is being called out, a certain section of audience feels that Saaho is a missed opportunity with mammoth budget.
