Blank cheque ready for PCB if Pakistan beat India

The India-Pakistan match is a big favourite for cricket lovers. However, due to the deteriorating bilateral relations between both countries, the two teams have been competing only in ICC tournaments for the past few years. The T20 World Cup will be held in the UAE from October 17. The India-Pak teams will meet on the 24th of this month as part of this mega tournament.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja has made a sensational announcement that PCB will give a blank check to Pakistan players if the Babar Azam-led side beat India in the upcoming T20 World Cup on October 24.

“One strong investor told me that a blank cheque is ready for the PCB if Pakistan beats India in the upcoming T20 World Cup,” he said.

“PCB runs 50 per cent on the funding of ICC. 90 per cent of funding to ICC comes from India. I’m afraid that if India stopped funding ICC, then PCB might collapse because PCB gives zero per cent funding to ICC. I’m determined to make Pakistan cricket strong,” Ramiz Raja added.

Ramiz Raja is angry that the England and New Zealand teams have recently cancelled their tour of the country. The Pakistan Cricket Board has made it clear that if it was financially strong like the BCCI, England and New Zealand would not have done such an adventure. He said the Pakistan team wants to beat India as well as New Zealand in the T20 World Cup.
