The Huzurabad by-polls took place today, and before the polls were even over, the Bharatiya Janata Party started to celebrate its victory in the constituency, and even congratulated its candidate, Etela Rajender, on his victory in the constituency. The counting of the votes would take place on November 2nd, after which the result would be known, but the BJP has already started its celebrations.
The members of the BJP have said that their sources have informed them that the BJP would win with a vast majority, based on the exit polls, which is why they have already started to celebrate. Firecrackers were burst in many areas of the constituency, marking the victory of the BJP.
BJP Telangana President Bandi Sanjay said that the BJP’s victory in Huzurabad is a huge slap for the TRS, and for Chief Minister KCR, who have taken the state for granted. On the other hand, the Huzurabad constituency went for by-polls after its MLA, Etela Rajendar, then the Health Minister of the state was stripped of all of his posts. Subsequently, he resigned from the TRS and joined the BJP.
