While there is Kishan Reddy to represent BJP in Telangana, the Lotus party is looking for one such strong leader in AP, to represent the party.
As Kishan Reddy has been a Union Minister already in TS, BJP is keen to appoint a Union Minister from AP too. For this, the national party is planning to appoint a Rajya Sabha member belonging to AP. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP leader Amit Shah are considering GVL Narasimha Rao and Sujana Chowdary as the suitable candidates for the post.
Though GVL has been nominated to Rajya Sabha from Uttar Pradesh, he hails from Prakasham district and settled in Guntur. Adding to it, he was known for sharp criticisms against TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu in the past, which is what made him one of the contenders for the post.
On the other side, Sujana Chowdary had worked with Naidu all these years, and jumped into BJP recently. Adding to it, he also served in the Lotus Party in the past, as the MoS for Science and Technology & Earth Sciences. So both Modi and Shah are confident that he would attract TDP leaders into BJP and thus strengthen the national party in AP.

As earlier GVL made some serious allegations on Sujana Chowdary and now the duo being the top contenders for a post, it acquired quite significance among the political circles.
