Two films, the mid range ones i.e Bheeshma and Pratiroju Pandage made hay while the sun shone. Before the Corona virus hit the world, the film had ample to release and mint money. Now, the former, Bheeshma which released on Saturday on Sun Next and Netflix had umpteen users watching the film not just for the first time but also the second time.
Both the films are simple stories actually, but the public who had an overdose of realistic films, starved of entertainment lapped it up. Now that Bheeshma is out, there is a certain section who feel waiting for those few weeks is worthwhile, they got to see the film at home. This shouldn’t deter the audience from going to the theatres. Watching a film on the big screen is a different experience altogether.
It is just a matter of time, people will flock the theatres soon. Meanwhile Nithiin has some interesting line up of movies that he had signed, one that is waiting to release is Rang De, then there is Chandrasekhar Yeleti film and two films ready to go on sets. Krishna Chaitanya’s Power Peta by People’s Media is most likely to begin first but that is a long way to go.
