BCCI clarifies on T20 World Cup in October

T20 World Cup, which is planned to happen in the first half of 2020 got postponed due to the Covid-19. It is known that the states of India rejected the thought of BCCI to conduct the T20 World Cup in their respective cities.

Later on, Central Government gave instructions on avoiding mass gathering which BCCI acknowledged and followed. Even though Sourav Ganguly initially revolted the thought of postponement of the tournament, he accepted the situation and came up with the statement that BCCI will follow the rules and regulations set by the Indian Government.

The next possible month for the World Cup is said to be October and BCCI once again clarified that the situation is not in line with the plan. BCCI feels that it may take more time for the entire world to restart the socializing events. More over, other countries are not willing to send the cricketers considering the pandemic situation. Hence, the plan of T20 World Cup in October too might be postponed.
