So far, many people in the state have not received their ration goods this month. For the first time in the history of the Public Distribution System, this strange situation happened.
Still, more than a crore families are waiting for their ration goods to arrive. Despite knowing that it was against the election code, CM Jagan started the ration door-to-door vehicles on the 21st of last month.
A total of 9,233 vehicles were made available for door delivery while only 2,077 vehicles were in force in towns due to the Election Code. They are also required to deliver 90 cards per day in 14 days to 25.2 lakh people.
Of the 1.45 crore cards in the state, only 13.78 percent have received goods so far. Another 1.25 crore cards are due for delivery.
