AP SEC ordered TDP to withdraw their manifesto

SEC Ramesh Kumar issued notices to TDP on the release of the manifesto for the panchayat elections.

YCP leader Leyla Appireddy has complained to the state Election Commission that the announcement of the manifesto during the panchayat elections was against the panchayat election norms and that the printing and distribution of the manifesto released by the TDP should be stopped.

The SEC expressed dissatisfaction over Maddipati Venkataraju’s explanation. Recently, the SEC has issued directions that the release of the manifesto for elections is illegal and that the TDP manifesto should be withdrawn.

Previously, the commission issued a notice to Venkataraju that he should give an explanation on this by February 2 or else the SEC would take a final decision on the complaint lodged by the YCP.
