The High Court has dismissed the directions given by the Election Commission against Andhra Pradesh Minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy. The High Court said that the Minister saying that the orders on Peddireddy House arrest are invalid.
The Minister has approached the High Court challenging the SEC directions. The High Court has heard the arguments of the lawyers on behalf of the Minister and the Election Commission. Recently, the verdict was announced.
However, the High Court upheld only some of the directions given by the SEC. The High Court upheld the SEC orders that the minister should not speak to the media. The High Court directed the minister not to speak to the media on any election-related matters.
