The government of Andhra Pradesh has dealt the Telugu film industry with a mega shock and this could directly affect the theatrical business of several Telugu biggies, including RRR, Pushpa, and others.
The government of Andhra Pradesh has passed a new cinematography law, as a part of which no special benefit shows will be permitted in cinema halls across the state henceforth.
Also, the government has announced that the ticket pricing will be capped at a preset limit for low-budget films and as well as big-budget films. There will be no ticket hikes from now on.
The government will also be introducing a new online ticketing portal and tickets should be sold only through this portal.
With no special shows and capped ticket pricing, it would be a daunting task for big-ticket films that are lined up for release in the next few weeks.
