The AP Government Employees Federation has announced that it will respect the Supreme court ruling and co-operate in the local body elections.
AP Employees union president Venkatrami Reddy said that they took this decision in an executive committee meeting held in Amaravati.
As long as the government said no to elections, the employees union is ready to oppose even the Supreme Court verdict. Now their stance has changed according to the government’s decision.
On this occasion, he said that they have not made any criticisms of the Election Commission and they did not even say no to the election process.
He said “We were only asked not to force employees to get in trouble. and even now, we will ask CS to give some exemptions so that the employees do not get in trouble.”
