It’s close to a year since the farmers of Amaravati have started their protests against the state government, after Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy announced the 3 Capital bill. The farmers of Amaravati sacrificed their lands for the sake of providing their state with a substantial capital, on the request of the previous government, led by Chandrababu Naidu.
Despite the YSRCP members promising to make sure that Amaravati would be developed into the only capital of AP, they have ignored their promise almost as soon as they came into power.
Following the 3 Capital bill announcement, all the farmers of Amaravati started to protest against the government, in the hope that their cries would be heard, and that the government would go back on its decision. However, the government has paid a deaf ear to the cries of all the farmers so far, and has been the least bit bothered about their sacrifice.

While the TDP is trying its best to support the farmers in their protests, the fact that the TDP does not have a majority cannot be ignored, which makes it hard for anyone to take it seriously. The BJP and Jana Sena have also expressed their support for Amaravati, but even they are not in a position to take a strong stand against the government, due their lack of majority.
With all options almost having been exhausted, the farmers of Amaravati are now looking up to the Vice President of India, Venkaiah Naidu, and are hoping for him to support their cause. Even though Venkaiah Naidu may not be in a position to directly support the cause for Amaravati, because of his post, the farmers of Amravati are hoping that he would indirectly support them, and make sure that they are served with the justice they deserve.
