AP DGP warns TDP to stop baseless comments

AP DGP Gautham Sawang strictly went against the opposition party leaders, especially the TDP leaders.

RP Thakur has been replaced by Sawang, right after the YSRCP formed the government in Andhra Pradesh. As Jagan considered Thakur to be in favor of TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu, he did not spare him and replaced with Sawang in his place. Since then, the TDP had been making the allegations against the AP police, especially Sawang, that he is acting as an agent of the YSRCP government.

While YS Vivekananda Reddy murder case investigation has been going on, TDP leader Varla Ramaiah alleged that Jagan is the real culprit in the case. Reacting to such comments, Sawang warned Ramaiah, not to make such baseless comments, without proofs. He also challenged to prove it.

Aggrieved over it, the TDP leaders went against Sawang. Responding to their criticisms, the DGP said that it was during the TDP’s regime, the opposition party leaders faced the heat, but in YSRCP’s regime, both ruling and opposition party leaders are also facing the heat, if they are found guilty.

The officer clarified that he is an employee of the government, but has no political interests. He warned the TDP leaders that they will have to face serious consequences, if they make such baseless comments.
