The AP govt has made it clear in the Assembly that it opposes the privatization of the Vizag Steel plant. It said that the Visakhapatnam steel plant is the right of the Andhra people.
On the one hand, the Assembly passed a unanimous resolution against privatization as the Center was insisting on privatization.
Andhra Pradesh Minister Mekapati Gautam Reddy introduced the resolution against privatization of the Vishakapatnam Steel plant in the AP Assembly. The resolution was passed unanimously by the Legislature.
The minister also recalled that CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had already written a letter to Prime Minister Modi against the privatization of the Vizag Steel plant. AP Assembly sessions were adjourned after this resolution.
