AP DGP Gautam Sawang has clarified that the conspiracy of political parties is evident in the temple incidents and the investigation has revealed that TDP and BJP members were involved in such acts to incite religious hatred. Recently, he held a press conference at the police headquarters in Mangalagiri.
The police investigation revealed that a total of 21 people from TDP and BJP were directly involved in the 9 cases that they have cracked. Out of 21, so far 15 of them have been arrested. He said that an in-depth investigation is underway.
Out of 21 people, 17 of them belong to TDP and four from BJP. Of these, 13 TDP leaders and 2 BJP leaders have so far been arrested. Another 4 TDP and 2 BJP leaders are yet to be arrested.
