Anil Ravipudi takes a sensational decision during these troubled times

The filmmakers who are usually busy shooting had to quit it and restrain at their homes due to lockdown rules. Despite getting the permits from government for shoots, certain conditions were however imposed especially in maintaining limited crew. This has become a major setback for recommencing the shoots and directors are still struggling to complete.

Now, Future seem to be bleak and unpredictable in the cinema world. In this snail paced scenario, few directors analysed the future of cinema and slowly began switching their gears. Rumour mills are now abuzz that, director Anil Ravipudi took a sensational decision in these troubled times to shoot films suitable for OTT platforms(Over the top).

Digital platforms like Netflix, Amazon prime, Aha web apps etc have undisputedly became the saviours in this messiest situation for any film maker. Now it’s heard that Anil Ravipudi who got appreciations for his last film Sarileru Neekevvaru, has planned to make a comedy web series. Since Aha had been off the track with less content and the makers are now looking for a unique engaging web content.

Directors like Krrish embraced this new trend  and have already done a web series in Telugu called ‘Mastis’ produced and released on Aha. Insider source reveals that the director/writer approached Aha to present his proposal of doing a comical web series. Crew details will be revealed officially after getting a nod from Aha soon. The director is currently working on F3 starring Ram Charan, after tasting success in first two franchises.

Few industry experts predicted that at this rate, theatre experience would soon collapse and all the theatre owners would suffer massive losses. But few claim that the experience is never lost and movie goers will definitely turn up once the situations regain normalcy.
