The Andhra Pradesh government led by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has decided to reopen schools on August 16. Online classes will start from July 12 (Monday). This was decided in a review conducted by CM Jagan.

Speaking after attending the review meeting, Education Minister Adimulapu Suresh said the CM has directed to complete the pending works in the educational institutions by August. He said teachers would be given training on workbooks from July 15 to August 15.

Adimulapu Suresh said the CM is taking steps to provide quality education in schools. He mentioned that the State would implement the New Education Policy and clarified that this would not result in the closure of schools or cut down the number of teacher posts.

The Minister said the results of the Intermediate final year students would be issued by July-end.
