Amid rapidly increasing Covid-19 cases in the state, the Telangana High court today asked the state government to permit only those who have RT-PCR negative reports with them while entering Telangana from other states.
Complaining about the rapid spread of the virus, the HC expressed dissatisfaction over liquor shops becoming a rich source of coronavirus and there was no control over the crowds at pubs and cinema theatres.
The High Court said it was disappointed over the poor number of RT-PCR tests done in the state and asked the government to increase it by 70% as per the guidelines of the Centre. The HC also inquired about cases that were registered for violating the Covid-19 norms.
While asking the state government to submit another report by April 14, the court adjourned the case to April 19.
